Fenstanton Parish Church Community Fund

The PCC has put some money on one side to provide one-off money to people who might need it who have a strong association with the village of Fenstanton e.g. you live or work in the village, or your child attends the nursery, pre-school or school. We are thinking of people who “fall through the cracks” of the statutory system of benefits or charitable assistance, and who have nowhere else to turn. The sums involved will be quite modest, say for a new washing machine or paying for a professional plumber, for example. We have a team who will assess any requests, and these requests can be made by anyone, either for themselves, or on someone else's behalf.

The team will decide as quickly as possible whether a payment can be made. The money will be paid out in the most appropriate way. If the Community Fund is unable to help you for any reason, you will be told straight away.

The PCC has spent some time considering this, and we believe as a church that this is the right thing to do, especially in the light of our Mission Statement, Growing in Faith, Serving our Community. Notices and flyers are available. There is an entry in Spectrum. Contact details either through a dedicated e-mail address FenstantonCommunityFund@gmail.com, the Vicar or churchwarden.
